It’s getting harder to get a picture of our Ru baby since she rolls over the second you set her down! This little love is SIX months old. Oh we love her so. She is a delight!
She is nearly 17 lbs and 25 inches long. She loves avocado, sweet potatoes and blueberries. She thinks her brother and sister are hysterical. She’s been to more basketball games, swim lessons and school events than I can count. She rolls well with the chaos of being #3. She lights up our home. Happy six months, Vivi Ru!
At this life season Halloween just might be my favorite holiday. It’s pretty low maintenance as far as holidays go :). And the fun quota is huge!!! Last year when we told the kids we were pregnant the first thing Luke said was, “Sissy!! Now we have a baby to be Jack Jack!” So obviously we had to make that dream a reality :)
Last week our cousins were here for a surprise last minute trip. We soaked up the joy and chaos and noise and laughter!
This little love turned 5 months old last week. She is truly a delight! She is rolling all over the place and eating lots of solids. She’s usually up only once a night (yay!) and lights up our home with smiles and giggles. We love you, Vivi Ru Ru!
My favorite season is here! And what a gift of a weekend to celebrate all things autumn from fall ball (the twins are playing fall basketball! With Coach Dad!) to the pumpkin patch, corn maze and hay riding! Ending the weekend with a grateful heart.
V had her first bites of food (avocado!) fed to her by her two biggest fans tonight! She seemed pretty interested and kept opening up for more!
This is probably my favorite part of the age gap in our family: watching the bigs delight in all of her milestones and growth. They are truly her biggest cheerleaders and it makes my mama heart so grateful to see them loving on the baby of our family. As Amelia has reminded me, "Mama, YOU didn’t have a baby, WE had a baby!"
Love getting to share this wild ride with so many of my favorite people. It is grace upon grace.
It’s hard to believe that these big kids started second grade last week! I’m going to miss them during the day! AND I’m grateful for the routine and structure. Both/and. Always both/and and so rarely either/or. I’m learning to hold space for a lot of both/and realities on this parenting ride. I’m so sad they’re growing so fast AND to see them thriving is such a gift.
