Welcome to the world, sweet sweet Adeleine Mae!!!  Born 9.19.13 at 6:26 pm and weight in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces.  I'm sorry that your auntie is a bit behind on this announcement but you'll learn in your lifetime that I may be late quite often :)  You will also learn that you are VERY loved. Luke and Amelia often ask for you ("Baby Addy") and can't wait until you're big enough to wrestle with them ...

Autumn is here!

Well, not technically for another week or so, but for all practical purposes!  My favorite season is here! The kids started preschool last week which they LOVED.  It's a pretty laid back setting -- The church let's us use their space and we use one room for "the littles" (under 3) and one room for "preschoolers" (3-5 years).  The moms are on a rotating basis as to who is teaching in which rooms and who gets the week off (three hours without little ones!  Nap time?  Errands?  Coffee date?)  I think it's an ideal setting for our family for this phase.  It's with women and families that I know and trust.  I'm invested in what they're learning and get to know all of their friends.  It definitely stretches me -- I'm a logical science thinking type.  Thankfully my sister (a kindergarden teacher) has given me great ideas for crafts and great thoughts on teaching styles.  We'll see how it goes!  But it'll be a new adventure, for sure!  One of the many parts about motherhood that I appreciate (usually) -- there are always new things to be learned and new ways to be challenged.

Reunion!

To spend the weekend with my college roommates and their families blessed my heart!  It was such a joy to spend the days playing with the kids (honestly, there was not nearly the chaos I expected with seven little ones!) and the evenings visiting and catching up with dear friends.  Can't believe that it's been over a decade since I met these amazing women and pretty crazy for us to talk about how much our lives have changed in that time.  Thankful for these beautiful little ones we now get to share our lives and reunions with!  I really wanted to get a picture of all the littles together but with 3 babes under 1, someone was always asleep!  Next time :)
