Fall!!

My favorite season is here!  And what a gift of a weekend to celebrate all things autumn from fall ball (the twins are playing fall basketball!  With Coach Dad!) to the pumpkin patch, corn maze and hay riding!  Ending the weekend with a grateful heart.

V had her first bites of food (avocado!) fed to her by her two biggest fans tonight!  She seemed pretty interested and kept opening up for more!

This is probably my favorite part of the age gap in our family: watching the bigs delight in all of her milestones and growth.  They are truly her biggest cheerleaders and it makes my mama heart so grateful to see them loving on the baby of our family.  As Amelia has reminded me, "Mama, YOU didn’t have a baby, WE had a baby!" 

Love getting to share this wild ride with so many of my favorite people.  It is grace upon grace.

2nd grade!!!

It’s hard to believe that these big kids started second grade last week!  I’m going to miss them during the day! AND I’m grateful for the routine and structure. Both/and.  Always both/and and so rarely either/or.  I’m learning to hold space for a lot of both/and realities on this parenting ride.  I’m so sad they’re growing so fast AND to see them thriving is such a gift.

I decided to do a little interview with each of them as they began second grade.

4 months!

This little love bug is FOUR months old today!!!  She is full of smiles and snuggles and giggles and nighttime wakings :). She was 13 lb, 10 oz last week and 25 inches long. She adds so much love to our house and our family!  This week the bigs head to SECOND grade and mama heads back to work: a week of transitions!  The name of the parenting game!
